Two music mega forces, super producer Timbaland and rap mogul Jay-Z, are now officially working together under the same label, Jay-Z’s own Roc Nation after a picture of the two was posted on Life+Times with the caption, “Roc Nation welcomes TIMBALAND to the family.”
It all makes sense; seems only right when you think of the amount of material they’ve worked together: “Ni**a What, Ni**a Who,” “Big Pimpin,” and “Dirt Off Your Shoulder,” among others. Timbo is the production mind behind Justin Timberlake’s current Jay-assisted single “Suit & Tie,” not to mention the extensive body of work Timbo has done in the past with Timberlake.
What do you think? Was it a Good move?
The pre-Superbowl drama is on full throttle as folks are extra pissy about San Francisco 49er Chris Culliver‘s anti-gay comments that were said on media day.
Chris Culliver, who went on an anti-gay tirade, that he though was pretty comical, while chatting it up with shoc jock Artie Lang.
“I don’t do the gay guys man,” Culliver said. “I don’t do that. No, we don’t got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do.”
He then proceeded to pretty much say gays don’t belong in the league at all, and should only “come out” after leaving for 10 years.
And after all of the internet was up in arms today after these words surfaced, the 49ers organization quickly put out its own statement condemning the comments:
“The San Francisco 49ers reject the comments that were made yesterday, and have addressed the matter with Chris. There is no place for discrimination within our organization at any level. We have and always will proudly support the LGBT community.”

Rick Ross isn’t taking anymore chances. And despite the fact some folks believe he staged this assassination attempt that caused him to crash his Rolls Royce Monday morning, he’s hired armed 24-hour security.
He’s been the victim of threats from gangs for awhile now, but after his Rolls Royce was sprayed with 15 shots of gun fire Monday morning in Ft. Lauderdale, after his birthday party he’s taking the threats more seriously.
Reports state that Rick has hired a security detail that will be hovering over him for 24 hours a day. In addition to the security he already had at shows and appearances.
But even with this move, people are starting to doubt his assassination attempt even happened.
There are unconfirmed reports that the car had no bullet holes, even though the person who sprayed the bullets was in a nearby car. And after the car crashed, the passengers inside, including Rick Ross, reportedly ran away.
Shortly after the incident, Rick dropped a freestyle over Kendrick Lamar‘s “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe” track. And his verse talks about being surprised he’s still alive and surviving bullets. No confirmation on if this was written/recorded before the incident, but it’s mighty coincidental if it was. And it was mighty quick of him to record it several hours after the drama.
A rapper lying for street cred isn’t a brand new notion. But we shall see…. Check out the song below
Talent manager and “Love & Hip Hop” star Rich Dollaz was arrested while promoting the reality TV series. In video released Wednesday, Rich Dollaz speaks briefly about his career before several police officers approach him, request identification and end up taking him into custody.
Known best for managing Olivia, Rich Dollaz’s arrest stems from an alleged ongoing dispute over child support.
In the video below, Rich Dollaz tells a journalist”cops make me nervous” just seconds before the first police officer stops the interview and demands identification. Later in the video, the alleged mother of his child appears, yelling at him about failing to support his child.
“You really thought you were going to come here and not do what you’re supposed to do for my child,” she screams.
According to Mouth To Ears, who released the video, this proves, once and for all, that Rich Dollaz was arrested for “failing to appear for a court ordered paternity test.”

Chief Keef signed a three-album deal with Interscope Records worth $6 million.
After fielding a bidding war back in 2012 and inevitably signing with Interscope Records, Chief Keef dropped his debut album Finally Rich last month.
The terms of the deal have remained undisclosed until now. The contract was made public in a court filing that seeks a judge’s approval to finalize agreements. The court’s approval is required by law because Keef, who is 17 years old, is a minor.
Interscope agreed to pay Keef a $440,000 advance, giving half up front and half after a judge confirms the deal. The advance will be deposited into a court-administed “blocked” trust fund on his behalf that is controlled by his grandmother. Keef also received a $300,000 deal to cover the cost of recording Finally Rich. His deals depend on album sales, as Interscope has the right to pull out of the contract if he doesn’t sell 250,000 copies of the LP by December 2013.
He also signed a separate deal to control his own label, Glory Boyz Entertainment, and received another $440,000 advance. Both Keef and his manager Rovan Manuel each receive $180,000 and own 40 percent of the label. Interscope must also pay GBE $200,000 for “overhead expenses,” and will split profits equally with the imprint.
Upon release in December, Finally Rich bowed at No. 27 with 50,000 copies sold. Keef is currently serving a 60-day sentence for violating probation.
According to TMZ, Knowles emailed an ominous threat to the mother of his 2-year-old son — or so the woman claims, and now she’s gunning for him in court.
Knowles’ baby mama Alexsandra Wright filed legal docs, asking the family court judge to up her child support to cover expenses for security to protect their kid. Mathew is currently on the hook for $12k a month.
Wright claims she needs security because of a “threatening” email Knowles sent her back in September 2011, in which he wrote, “You hurt my family. There’s a price to pay.”
According to the docs, Wright also wants additional dough to cover expenses for a secure, private school.
Sources close to Knowles tell TMZ … he faithfully pays child support, adding the only reason he hasn’t paid expenses for schooling is because they haven’t agreed on the school.
We’re told Knowles thinks Wright’s latest legal move could backfire because his income has drastically decreased since the original order was issued. As you know, Beyonce gave him walking papers in 2011.
Knowles believes the judge could actually reduce his monthly payments.
